Be Proactive: You Are in Control of Your Life, No one else is. Do not concentrate on the things that are out of your domain.
Begin with the End in Mind: Have concrete objectives in life that incorporate your passions so that you can have a purpose in life.
Put First Things First: Make a list of all active tasks and rank them Accordingly. Don’t waste time on irrelevant activities.
Think Win-Win: Always Work with the end in mind, so when two people are involved, they should think of three: it is possible to solve but a better one.
Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood: Offer your thoughts only after understanding everyone else’s Z point of view.
Synergistic: Teamwork is always more helpful, focus on creating teams and then drive them to success.
Sharpen the Saw: All skills need to be brushed and kept in shape. In case of gaps focus on four areas – Aspects physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.
Key Themes:
Character vs. Personality: Covey argues in favor of character over behavioral tendencies.
Principle-Centered Living: Make choices constantly that correspond with your principles that once embraced will guarantee a fruitful life.
Interdependence: Understanding that most efforts succeeded because of a team effort and empathy.
